Lavender Dress in Grand Cayman

It’s a tradition in the Crum house to take a family vacation every year. This summer, it was really hard to sync up all the boys’ schedules with work and other commitments, so we decided to do a girls trip! I was so excited to spend a week with my sister and mother-in-love. We decided to go to Grand Cayman because, let’s get real, we always choose the beach, and Katherine and I had never been there before. It’s also super easy to get to from Houston (only a two and a half hour direct flight). We wanted to go somewhere where we could get away from reality and give our mind some peace from the chaos of every day life. What’s also special about Grand Cayman is that’s where my in-laws went on their honeymoon 32 years ago! I will do a little more in-depth review of our hotel later on this week.

I have to rave about this dress for a second. I found it while I was walking through Nordstrom one day right before our trip and it immediately caught my eye. Then, when I saw how amazing the price was I got so excited! Y’all – this fit is INCREDIBLE. It is so flattering and honestly super comfortable. You could really wear this anywhere – to a wedding, date night, church on Sunday, bridal/baby shower… you name it. Heck, it could even be a bridesmaid dress! Now, to be honest, I don’t like how it looks online. But in person it’s this beautiful lavender/lilac color with the cutest cut out in the back. I paired it with a fun summer straw clutch to add some color, but would also go perfect with a classier gold clutch if you want to be a little more fancy.

Anyways, I hope everyone had a good weekend! I spent time with friends, family and Jesus and feel rejuvenated and ready to take on the week. Happy Monday, friends! Go kick some booty.
