Skincare is a touchy subject. It’s hard because there are SO many different products out there all claiming to be the best and give you that “movie star glow”. I found myself trying brand after brand (and spending more money than I’d like to admit), yet each time I ended up disappointed by the lack of results. I truly tried it all – Rodan + Fields, Clinique, Beauty Counter, Cetaphil, Proactive, Nerium, etc. (Now I’m not saying those products don’t work for everyone, because I’ve had friends who love them – I’m just going based on MY results and what works for me.)

I have been lucky enough to never really struggle with “acne”. Sure, I would have a pimple or two pop up around my time of the month, but never had severe acne (which I am extremely thankful for). But in January I decided to get off birth control (for personal reasons) and my skin FREAKED OUT. I’m talkin’ BAD. Maybe one day I’ll feel comfortable enough to show you guys some pictures, but my skin looked like a 12-year-old boy who just hit puberty for the first time. During this time, I got desperate. I was spending hundreds of dollars trying every skin care system in the books, getting weekly facials, taking antibiotics from my dermatologist and I STILL could not get my skin under control. I felt hopeless. It’s hard to feel confident (especially when it’s my job to take pictures every day) when your face is broken out. I felt ugly and it honestly made me a little depressed to where I didn’t even want to go in public. I never wanted to be the girl that felt like I had to cake on a bunch of make up to feel pretty, but that was slowly becoming part of my routine.

I kept seeing a bunch of bloggers rave about Tula. To be 100% honest with you guys, I was skeptical. Yes, even as a blogger I get skeptical when other bloggers promote things. But since I was desperate, I decided to give it a try.

Honestly, I could cry typing this because of how much this brand has changed my life and my confidence. I started seeing immediate results within three days. THREE DAYS!!!!! After using the products for two months as part of daily skincare routine, I decided to share my results on Instagram stories. I had HUNDREDS (no exaggeration) of messages pour in from my followers telling me their own stories of how much they love Tula and how it has changed their skin as well. It was so comforting knowing that so many of us deal with the same struggles. Having clear skin is something we all desire! Everything you Need to Know About my Personal Skincare Routine

1. Purifying Face Cleanser – this refreshing probiotic gel cleanser goes deep into pores to remove impurities and helps condition skin, without stripping or over-drying. This stuff is AMAZING and a must-have! It removes all makeup and leaves your face feeling so soft (you can use this morning and night).
2. Pro-glycolic Resurfacing Gel – this alcohol-free toner uses probiotics, glycolic acid, and beetroot extract to gently exfoliate the skin, leaving it looking smooth, hydrated and more even. This is another MUST HAVE. I honestly have not broken out once since I started using this product!!
3. Acne Clearing + Tone Correcting Gel – PURE GOLD! this acne gel promotes clear skin with zero irritation. I started using this all over (morning and night) to help clear up my skin, and now I just use it as a spot treatment. It works wonders to help clear up acne, prevent breakouts and brighten marks left by past acne. Use this after you wash your face and use the toner, and before your moisturizer!
4. Aqua Infusion Power Liquid – this is what I use for a moisturizer. I typically don’t need a lot of moisture because my skin is on the oilier-side, so this is perfect for me. This supercharged serum is light as a liquid yet super powerful, delivers deep hydration and instantly soothes the appearance of stressed skin. If you are looking for a more-intense moisturizer, I highly recommend the Hydrating Day and Night Cream. That is one of their best sellers and I have so many friends rave about it!
5. Illuminating Face Serum – this lightweight serum is AMAZING to target the appearance of dark spots, hyperpigmentation and dull skin, revealing a youthful glow and brightened complexion. I apply a dime-size amount to dark spots before applying my moisturizer.
6. Multi-Spectrum Eye Renewal Serum – AH I LOVE THIS! This caffeine-packed wonder-stick helps refresh the look of tired, aging eyes and feels SO GOOD. It’s clinically proven to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and puffiness. I use it morning and night.

Other products I love, but do not use daily

7. Exfoliating Treatment Mask – this detoxifying bentonite clay mask provides gentle exfoliation without stripping the skin of essential oils, making way for antioxidant-rich blueberry extract to hydrate and improve skin tone. I use this once a week!
8. Insta Bright Energizing & Brightening Sheet Mask – this is one of Tula’s newer products, but easily becoming one of their best! This holographic sheet mask combines probiotics & skin superfoods to give you skin that lights up a room. I use this once a week as well (usually the day after I use the exfoliating mask).
