Okay friends, the best time of the year is almost here… and yes, this is better than Christmas morning! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! I promise you guys, this is unlike any other sale throughout the year. Most sales only discount old merchandise, but this sale allows you to shop brand new items that haven’t even hit the floor yet at majorly discounted prices! You need to be prepared though, because the sale only lasts for a limited time and then items go back to their original price. And things sell out QUICK, so if you don’t jump on them right away, they’ll be gone an hour later. So I’m here to help prepare you guys on all the things you need to know to be ready when it starts.

SALE DATES: Early Access: July 12-19 | Public Sale: July 20- August 5

What do you need to know?
- Things sell out FAST – I’m serious. Last year I had something in my cart, went downstairs to go make some coffee and when I got back, it was sold out. The prices are so good that shoppers are like vultures, and before you have time to think about it, it’s gone.
- The good thing is Nordstrom offers free returns. So say you order something and either immediately have buyers remorse or you get it in and decide to pass, Nordstrom will return the item for free, no questions ask. They are AMAZING!
- I highly recommend getting a Nordstrom Card so you can shop the sale early (you can do that here! It’a super easy, there’s no annual fees, and you get tons of benefits!). Like I said, things sell out quickly, usually during early access, so having the ability to shop then is KEY.
- Make a list of things you need before you start shopping. Do you need a new pair of jeans? A pair of boots or booties? A good work cardigan? A beauty product splurge you’ve been waiting to go on sale? List those out so you can start with the essentials and then see what else sparks your interest.
- The catalog was just released and you can view it here! Check back in when the sale starts to see all my favorite picks.
What should you be on the lookout for?
- Fall/Winter clothes – this is honestly when I stock up on so many fall/winter essentials because the prices are just too good to pass up. I’m not just talking designer items, but jeans, jackets, sweaters/cardigans, fitness apparel, menswear – the whole shebang! These are the items that are usually a little pricer, but you know you’re going to buy anyways, so why not take advantage of the discount?
- Shoes – boots boots boots boots and more boots! Every year I’m not kidding when I say I buy at least 5 pairs, and wear them all season long. Like I said before, the prices go back up starting August 6th and the same boots that were on sale will go up full price and be around all season long. So you might as well grab them while you can when they’re discounted. Plus be on the lookout for tennis shoes! Last year I bought 3 pairs. So many good finds for the most amazing prices!
- Accessories – from handbags to sunglasses to luggage and more – the NSale has it all!
- Beauty products – you don’t want to forget about the beauty category! Nordstrom is really good at marking down AMAZING products, like perfume, makeup and expensive skin care products. I will do an entire blog post on my favorite finds so stay tuned for that!
Get ready… and check back in!
I will be sharing a TON of content throughout the entire sale, so keep checking back! Check my blog, Instagram posts and Instagram stories. If you have a question, feel free to ask me! I’m not a personal shopper by any means, but I am happy to help you guys as much as I possibly can. I will update you guys as much as possible when things come back in stock (which they do from time to time) and any new finds I see. I will also be hashtagging #NSale on every post, as well as #jcrumNsale – if you want to “follow” that last tag, you will get notified every time I share anything relating to the sale. I promise I won’t overwhelm you guys too much, just trying to share the best deals!
