The other day I was watching the news and they were talking about how everyone up North is upset because they haven’t really gotten a Spring. Between the rain and the cold fronts bringing in record-breaking storms, Northerners are desperate for some good weather. I have to admit, this is one time of year I LOVE living in Houston. Although we have rain storms every few days, overall the weather has been amazing the past two months. Not too hot, not too cold. Mild humidity. Very few mosquitoes. It’s heavenly! We’re just weeks away from sweltering heat, so I’m going to enjoy it while I can!
I love this outfit. It’s casual yet chic, but so incredibly easy to put together. These jeans have become my go-to’s lately. I love the fit, the distressing and the bottom hem. They pair perfectly with this versatile top. This is a great shirt you can pair with so many things and yet get completely different looks each time. Ripped jeans, shorts, white jeans or a denim skirt – this top is the ultimate staple piece. You can tie it up like I have it or tuck it in for a more sophisticated look.
My sweet friend Amanda from Pardon Muah did a collaboration with Grace and Hudson and actually designed her own necklace as a part of their collection. She was so sweet to send me one and I am obsessed! If you know me at all, you know I wear very dainty jewelry 99% of the time. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good statement earring, but other than that I stick to small, dainty pieces. So right when I opened this up I was so excited because I know this is something I will wear ALL the time. The chain and clasp are both gold-filled while the two asymmetrical dainty hearts are gold-plated. The chain can also be worn at 14 or 16 inches so that it’s easier to layer! I paired it with their Nina Choker you can find here. And if I couldn’t love it any more, Grace and Hudson takes a portion of every purchase and gives it to a charity which is chosen bi-yearly. It’s so humbling to see a small company still giving back to the community.
I hope you guys are having a good week! I’m leaving in the morning for the beach and I CAN’T WAIT! Any guesses where I’m headed?
